So I was digging through a file cabinet today trying to track down my birth certificate. I happened across a folder that I didn’t see a label on, so I flipped it open. It was a fistful of documents from my mother’s passing some years back. Heart wrenching even if it was 7 years ago.

Who Remembers Being Shot?

Now, on Pop’s side of the family is the Scott family tree– from my perspective that’d be Gramma’s side of the family. So these folks were— well, I’ll let Pop and his brother tell this one….

My family has characters that make the papers— in the police records section. “Walter ‘Wally’ Scott found shot in the head on his porch last night….” or some such title. (more…)
